Woo, I finished Motherload
Yesterday, when I was playing loads of Miniclip games, I got well into Motherload but it kept crashing on my MacBook. So today I played it on my PC and managed to complete it! My son helped by being in charge of the fuel, dynamite and repair keys. This game is really addictive and great. It get’s really exciting as you dig down further and find more and more valuable stuff and also you encounter hazards. I got all the upgrades and had wads of cash to spare and my son was going “We’re rich, we’re rich! Then there’s the ending! lol.
There seems to be a downloadable version too, but I’ve not tried it yet. Anyway, you gotta try it out. Give it a good hour or so to find out the nuances and you’ll be hooked. The miniclip forums have a full guide in a thread as well, but you shouldn’t really cheat!

Haha, I played that game at work. Quite addicting. It feels great to finish it too
So you saw the end then?
It’s probably not what you expected… but actually seems obvious when you think about it
The downloadable version is the same a the online one, but there is a full version that you can buy which contains some other bits and bobs.
Personally I think Motherload is a perfect example of gameplay over graphics.
*spoiler alert*
if you mean fighting and defeating the two bosses, yes I saw that. That was it though, nothing else.
Yeah the gameplay is very addictive and the simple graphics work fine – it’s just a classic.
