Webgame Wednesday : Roll
This one could be considered cheating – It’s actually my latest game… so naturally I like it
Roll was created for the Jayisgames.com 4th game development competition – and thankfully it has managed to scrape through to the final voting. You can read a full post about Roll on my personal site. For the rest of this article I am going to try to remain objective
Roll is a game loosely based on the concept of pool. Get the balls in the holes (erm… or pop them). You control the yellow ball, and have to remove the red balls from the table. Where it gets interesting is when the different tile types are introduced. Ice and conveyor belts play havoc with your control of the balls.
The game is fairly short, 2 levels to be precise, but I don’t think anything else could be done within the existing structure. To make more levels new tiles and objectives would be required. Maybe these could be created in a sequel some time in the future..?
Roll is an excellent game, possibly the best I have ever played, and I highly recommend you play it now!
If you like the game and fancy voting for it to win the audience prize on te Jayisgames competition then you can visit the finalists page to vote now.
