Webgame Wednesday : Raft Wars

The latest game from Bubblebox, the developers who made Base Jumping. Previously their games have been a bit hit and miss, but Raft Wars is another winner.

The graphics are very similar to earlier Bubblebox games, and the gameplay is not dissimilar to Tribe but there are a number of small touches that make Raft Wars stand out…

Three year old Simon becomes an instant millionaire after digging up gold and diamonds from the beach near his house.

Warlords are after the treasures, it´s up to Simon and his brother to send them sinking.
It´s time to grab your raft and defend the beach!

Raft Wars is a turn based combat game, reminiscent of Gorillas or Worms. The objective is to knock the enemy Warlords (pirates, vikings, ninjas, probably zombies) off of their raft into the water. Between rounds you can upgrade your weapons and, more importantly, rafts. In fact I have never bothered with the weapons. Save your money to upgrade your raft and you should be fine.

One of the highlights of the game comes from the amusing baby brother. He’s constantly coming out with silly comments and dressing up in different costumes. All good for a laugh.
