Webgame Wednesday : Polinko
Polinko is a brand new flash game, and it’s fun. That’s all you need to know.
More? Ok then, in essence it’s Peggle the only difference being Polinko is free!
Ok, that’s not the only difference. Visually and aurally Polinko isn’t quite as striking as it’s older inspiration, however the freeness coupled with the lack of download makes it almost as appealing. There are even some additional innovations thrown in. The levels start off similar to Peggles but they soon branch out into new areas adding new physics based objects such as pendulums and hinged platforms.
I’d love to be given free reign on the design of Polinko as I think I could fulfill the potential it shows very nicely, cleaning up the graphics and adding some more varied music. However I have neither the time or the opportunity so we will have to make do with what is still a very nice little game.
One place where Polinko outshines Peggle is the inclusion of a level editor which essentially increases the built in 50 levels to an indefinite number. It would be nice if the developers added a few additional types of objects to enhance the possibilities even more.
It’s worth playing, if only for level 15…
Play Polinko now.
