I could have sworn I had written about this before - but my searching is coming back blank so here we go...
Gamma Bros is a brand new "old school" shoot 'em up. It was developed by PixelJam - the duo that also developed the strangely addictive Rat Maze (1 and 2).
The Gamma Brothers spend their days working in a huge space station near jupiter. No one works harder than Buzz and Zap! What could they possibly be working on? Something very important, no doubt.

Unfortunately you never find out what the brothers are working on. What you do find out, is what their daily commute, home from work, is like. I regularly complain about my journey to work, but Buzz and Zap have rather a worse time of it than I do.
On the way the brothers have to fight off hordes of aliens, and survive asteroid belts - just so they can get their tea before it gets cold.
The game itself is a 4 way shooter controlled entirely with the mouse, so it requires a fair amount of finger based dexterity and coordination. The arrows control movement and w, a, s and d keys control the direction of fire.
On top of the basic controls there are some nice touches. As you defeat enemies coins are dropped which can be collected and later spent in a "shop" to buy weapon upgrades, and even a new ship. When your ship gets destroyed you fly around in space in just your space suit which a cool unique way of displaying lives.
Gamma Bros is one of my favorite flash games, and with the wonderful pixel style - how can you complain?
