Unfortunately I haven't seen any new games that have stood out over this last week, so here is a slightly older game - one I made.
Dr Carter and the Cave of Despair is an action adventure game starring one of my favorite video gaming heroes.
Dr Carter is a long running hero at Miniclip, he's now appeared in 4 games (two of which I made). Cave of Despair is the most recent.
Your objective is to help the hapless explorer escape the cave and the oncoming tidal wave of lava that is threatening to overwhelm him. To do this you have to swing over the top of the burning lava using your trusty whip to keep out of harms way.
The game was designed with simplicity in mind. The control is simply a case of click and wait. Dr Carters whip is aimed at your mouse cursor - click once to try to grab onto something, and once more to let go. Along the way you can pick up precious jewels but really they're inconsequential. Saving the good Doctor is the most important thing.
