Webgame Wednesday - Bot Arena 3
Written by Bot Arena 3 is a robot combat strategy game.
The game revolves around building robots from a huge variety of parts and then competing with them against other bots.
Unlike other bot combat games Bot Arena 3 does not give you control of your robots. Instead you build them in the garage and then take them to the arena. You can tell them who to fight but then the AI takes over and you have to watch them compete. The game really is down to your tactical skills. Thankfully it’s not incredibly difficult to play, or complete for that matter, but the introduction of new upgrades as you play, and the increasingly more challenging fights makes a compelling challenge.
Initially the game is a little confusing, but once you understand how to build your bot you just keep on going until you win (at least that’s what I did).
The graphics are functional but nothing hugely outstanding - however they do their job more than well enough and don’t hinder the game in any way.
I was really pleased with Bot Arena 3. It took me a few minutes to get into the game, but once in I was hooked.
