Time for some more webgame action. This weeks selection is actually the sequel to a game Jake mentioned a while ago. The Last Stand 2.

The Last Stand 2 is a superbly developed flash based zombie survival game. In the last version you had to withstand the increasing hordes of evil zombified scum. Now, you have to do more of the same.

The game is split into two parts, day and night. During the day you are allocated time to repair your defences, and search for weapons and survivors. At night the zombies come out, and you have to fight for your life.

The game is a lot bloodier this time around, and the enemies are scarier and worse, faster.

Like Grand Theft Auto VI, The Last Stand 2 takes a game that works, and improves upon it, adding new features and gameplay possibilities creating a super polished very enjoyable experience.

Actually, one grind I seem to encounter many times is the inability to switch weapons while you’re reloading the current one. Another would be the way traps are set up on the field, especially the gas cylinders. Put them far and you have trouble detonating them. Put them near and you have a higher tendency to detonate them by accident. Protip: Plan wisely before your ammo drops to zero. Use traps sparingly, and spread out across the field.

That is a problem. Still a great game though. I play it sometimes just for fun and don’t even try to win. The weapons are ones you could actually find in real life.(most of them anyway)
