Web Game Wednesday : Commando 2

Working at Miniclip I have known about Commando 2 for some time. It’s been in development for years, and considering the size of the world, the variety of the levels, and the beautiful art it’s not all that surprising.

In my opinion Commando 2 is one of the most complex flash based games around - it wouldn’t look out of place in a retro arcade somewhere.

The game has been updated quite a lot since the first version. For starters the controls were completely recreated, gone are the clunky controls of the first game, and in is the new smooth mouse and keyboard combo. The levels and variety of enemies in the game have been expanded considerably as well. There are many objects and characters that you can interact with in different ways, you can ride a motorbike, and an elephant and fly in a helicopter. The bosses are also even bigger that before with the end of game boss not even fitting on a single screen.

Obviously I am biased but I genuinely think that Commando 2 is one of the best flash based action games around. Although if you know anything better drop a link in the comments and I’ll check it out
