The Last Stand (Online Zombie Shooter)

I just played and finished The Last Stand, a free online zombie shooter game. It has 20 short rounds and is really good fun 
Basically you have a barrier that gets attacked by zombies in the night and you must defend it. If they break through you die. During the daytime you can “spend” hours either repairing your barrier, searching for new weapons or searching for survivors. Survivors are cool because a) you have more people with guns behind your barrier and b) you can repair your barrier more quickly (using less hours). Naturally finding new weapons is also important. My favorite combo was a machine gun as the primary weapon (to pick them off at a distance) and a chainsaw as the secondary weapon (for when they get right up close).
Instead of being just a shooter, the “meta-game” of spending hours in the daytime really adds something. I managed to build up a full arsenal of weapons and a full compliment of survivors. By the way, when you send out search parties you may loose some of your team.
If they make a sequel, I have some suggestions:
- Add a bazooka!
- Minethrower so they walk over the mine.
- Ability to widen your barrier.
- Ability to lay traps e.g. pits, spike, fire, exploding barrers, trip wires.
- Grenades and other throwable explosives as a third weapon.
- Have a workshop so you can upgrade your weapons Resident Evil 4 style.
- Maybe Ammo, so you have to be careful using it.
- Ability to choose how you arm your team.
- Zombies that throw things at you.
- The possibility of getting injured and needing healing
- The possibility of your teammates getting infected and going nuts.
- Change the camera angle occasionally so that you fight from the bottom or top. Or maybe have a base which is in the middle and you can walk around to shoot from all sides.
- Search for food and needing to feed your team.
I could go on but that lot got my creative juices flowing.

Yeah, it is a fun game, but as with almost all Flash games, it’s entirely disposable. Up the difficulty and add some genuine choices and you’d have a winner, I think. It’s hard to see myself going back for another go after you’ve seen all the weapons, as well made as it is.
I really liked this one. The ending was a bit weak. The way it ended was cool, but then you just get a text message saying “well done” - would have been nice to have a high score system or something.
Also was it just me or did I kill a clown in there?

I liked it its pretty cool. one of the best zombie online games ever!!!

I think you will find that IS the complete list! In fact it looks like you have one more weapon than is available. Did you manage to unlock a weapon somewhere?
I thought there was only a hunting rifle, no sniper rifle. There were 3 machine guns + the assault rifle, 2 shot guns, pistol, magnum, chainsaw.
As for maximum survivors, I believe it was 7 including you. I reached this and it wouldn’t let me search for any more.
Ummm… well thx for the survivor thing, but i played the game some more times.. and i copmpletly owned!! And i guess it is kinda a sniper rifle as the VERY last gun u get but it is actually called the barret gun. Just wanted you too know… After the AK47
hey I don’t think I got that! I got the AK47, it was neat.
There is a hidden weapon, the barrett which is a .50cal sniper rifle. You can kill four zombies at once.
So how do you get it? I had them all and I kept searching every night because I already had a full team and didn’t take much damage?
there is a sniper rifle called the barret, but i could only use it at the end. It is really strong. It appears on the bottom because it is too big for the gun rack(it sits on the desk at the weapon selection screen). Just make sure you get all the guns near the end and youll eventually find it.

Alan - I have no idea, you’d have to ask the developers that. The feedback we’ve had on Binary Joy shows that there’s a lot of interest in the game so I certainly think it would be worth them giving it a shot.
its a very good game. what is better, crazy monkey games or armor games. i think crazy monkey is better
Neptune » I think they’re both good at different things. They both get different games so I guess it comes down to which games you prefer.
