Sony knows a thing or two when it comes to virtual pets (cough: AIbo) but since that pooch was neutered, there's been a void in my heart. Thank Jebus for EyePet, an upcoming virtual pet baby monkey(?) for the PS3. You do need an Eye Toy camera to get into action but for a Tamagotchi addict like myself, extra peripherals are no issue. If it's as responsive as the video, I'm sold! 2009 is way too far away. Do want!

That's pretty awesome. I'm really impressed with that. I wonder if it would end up being played with for a day and then forgotten about though... at least in my house - I never could keep those Tamagotchis alive!
