Sonic Unleashed - first info

Sonic has, unfortunately, been going downhill for some time, but I still get a little excited each time I see a new Sonic game is to be released - could this one fix things?

For me the best Sonic game was on the Game Gear, I loved the combination of exploration and skill, with some super fast platforming. I loved the fact that there was more to do than run fast, unlike the recent 2d Sonic games where all you seem to do is run at crazy speeds.

Destructoid recently wrote about how they think the Sonic games could be saved, and I think they have it pretty much right. If Sega were to follow even half these suggestions I think they’d get the fan boys back on side.

The video shows what looks like a 2d in 3d game (the best way to go for a game of this type I think). Hopefully it will be full of decent platforming exploration action.
