Sonic and the Secret Rings

1up have posted a video review of Sonic and the Secret Rings, and I think the game looks great. In the review they have two people arguing the pros and cons, one person who enjoys it, and one who doesn’t.

There are concerns that the game tries to do too much skimping on the most enjoyable parts… the open levels, and forcing in objective based games. Apparently the objective based games contain some very challenging gameplay, which is my own personal worry. I don’t mind games that are challenging, providing it’s not at the expense of fun. I get frustrated at games quite easily - as long as I keep progressing then I keep being happy - and that’s how I think it should be.

One thing both reviewers do agree on is that this is the best new Sonic game, in fact it’s the best 3d Sonic game, in a very long time.

I really wish I could find a Wii somewhere so that I could review these games myself. I just have to keep telling myself that “I will find one eventually“.
