The new Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles game is coming to the Nintendo Wii soon, and with it is the new Wii-Zapper.
The controller itself looks a bit crazy, it actually reminds me of a paintball gun, but it's a good way to combine both the Wiimote and the Nunchuk controller. It looks like it will be perfect for first person shooters and Time Crisis or Virtua Cop style gun games.
Anyway there's a trailer of the new Zapper gun in action, along side Resident Evil showing how a first person shooter should work on the Wii.

I miss shooting games because I've had a plasma TV for years and the old light guns don't work on plasmas, sniff

The publisher already confirmed a November release, so unfortunately not in time for an Emo's birthday. According to IGN, the exact US release should be around November 13, 2007.

ok please help i have just got a 42" plazma philips tv and the man who installed it said i would get "screen burn" if i connect my wii to it HELP!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure what this has to do with the Wii Zapper but you will only get screen burn if the tv shows the same image for a long period of time. As long as things are changing you will be fine.
