Resident Evil 4 is like Game “Crack”

Been playing Resident Evil 4 on Gamecube over the last week. I purposely avoided buying it for ages because I knew that I’d get hopelessly addicted - same reason I’ve avoided Oblivion and World of Warcraft.

Well a friend lent it to me recently and now I’m a complete addict. Been playing it late at night when my partner has gone to bed (I won’t play in the day as I at least have that much discipline, plus I have kids who shouldn’t watch it).

Friday night was the worst, 5am I went to bed! At 1am I thought, I’ll go to bed soon, then it was 2am, and I thought, I just clean out this area, then it was 3am and I thought well I’m gonna feel like cr*p tomorrow and be in deep trouble with Helen anyway so I’ll carry on, at 4am I found the shooting gallery subgame…

It’s a really good game, the best resident evil game ever, and one of the best games ever. Easily 10/10 material. So addictive, the exploring, the killing, the upgradingof weapons, the finding of money and treasures, the cut scenes and big monsters etc. It’s just brilliant.
