QuakeCon 2007 has been and gone and with it came some new trailers for the various Quake (ID) related franchises. One of them, the newest, is Rage.
The game looks gorgeous and the premise is interesting to say the least. It appears to combine first person shooting - something ID has quite a reputation for - with driving (racing and vehicular combat apparently), something they have never even attempted. It sounds like a combination that could work very well - afterall it didn't do too badly in Half Life 2!
I must admit that I didn't particularly enjoy Quake 4, but Quake 3 was great fun - especially on a LAN against friends.

I'll keep an eye out for this one. Yeah Quake 4 wasn't great, Doom 3 was probably better. Quake 3 took up WAY too much of my time online so I stopped playing it. Quake 2 is classic (or was then) and Quake 1 was unique at the time too.
