Pure : Adrenaline packed racer

I haven’t mentioned it before but Pure is an adrenaline packed racing game on the PS3 and XBox 360 - and it looks like a breath of fresh air.

To me it looks like a game that’s similar in style to Burnout - forgetting about all the boring technical nonsense of games like Gran Turismo (no - I don’t like that sort of game) and going in a considerably more arcadey direction. It’s almost like an SSX version of some boring formulaic quad biking game.

Thrill seekers will be taking on skilled rivals and performing gravity-defying aerial tricks in Pure, an action sports off-road video game, which is to be released on 25th September 2008 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC.

The demo is available now and I will be reviewing it fully in the coming weeks.

2 Ben - September 22, 2008: Yeah - I think it looks really cool. There’s a launch event in London on Wednesday which I might go to if I can get away from work in my lunch break I’m getting a review copy too so there will be a proper review on here soon as well.
