This one passed me by after the fact but I wanted to pick up on it as there were a couple of things I felt important. Cammie Dunaway from Nintendo has told Wired her thoughts about E3's Nintendo press conference.
Apparently...
- Nintendo DO have hardcore games in the works, they have just chosen to not hype a game months/ years before release. New Zelda and Mario for Wii are two of those games. There is also Call of Duty (finally) coming to the Wii, and Grand Theft Auto coming the the DS
- Nintendo are going to keep quiet about games until they are (almost) ready to go. This means new games will only be announced near completion, and avoids disappointment if there are delays. It's both good and bad.
- Nintendo DO care about users who are running out of memory on their Wii and they ARE working towards some form of solution. No words on what shape it will take.
