Ad supported games seem all the rage at the moment. Recently we had the free Ubisoft games released, that are US only, and riddled with ads, and now there is Peggle. A game I like a lot - I even reviewed it a few months ago giving it the full 5 stars… it’s that good!

Assuming you don’t mind the ads and don’t want to buy Peggle, then you could do a lot worse than playing it online for free over at popcap.com.

wow, wonder if it plays exactly the same as in if the physics has been carefully replicated by the flash team (I assume it’s in flash). It will also work as marketing because the download games has had a good run now and this may make people buy the download game to avoid the “pain” of playing online with ads, and also of course it’s more people on the popcap site generally which is a good thing.

There’s no flash there, it’s active-x using a system they developed which is similar to igloader. I would guess the code is pretty much identical to the download version so everything should be the same.

aha I had wondered if that was the case. Sounds sensible.
