No PS4 being released?

With the news that Kutaragi has been promoted, moving away from video games comes the speculation that there won’t be a PlayStation 4 released.

This isn’t game related news as such, but it would make the gaming landscape very different if the PS$ were never to be developed. The dominance of the PS3 was clearly a factor in Nintendo developing the Wii – a console which is becoming more and more popular every day.

Sony have already come back and said that they fully intend to release a PS4, but it’s still an interesting line of thought.
