New Stunning Mirrors Edge footage

I am afraid Mirrors Edge is going to be one of those games where I keep on posting videos – everything released looks awesome. They’d better not let me down!

This time the footage is straight forward gameplay. A run through a cavernous warehouse/ factory setting. You can see many of the range of moves that can be performed in the game. These include a variety of jumps and leaps, along with some “wall running” and sliding. The camera seems to work perfectly and I didn’t feel at all disorientated, something I had concerns about considering the amount of frantic movement (especially for rolls and flips).

The fluidity of the game is amazing, but I wonder how well it will play when I’m the one doing the controlling, and not some developer who knows the game inside out.

1 Jake - August 22, 2008: Yeah looks neat. Hey I’m doing a Parkour course next Friday! I’m pretty agile due to my Aikido training so it’ll be interesting to try out.
