There aren't many racing games I really really like, the Burnout series, FZero-X (none of the others in the series!), and Mario Kart are the only ones I can think of right now. I've played many others and enjoyed more than a few, but these are the ones I come back too time and time again.
The Mario Kart drought is soon to clear up with the latest Mario Kart game coming to the Nintendo Wii. Below is a selection of new gameplay videos showing off the new features and tracks. Unfortunately Youtube has crappified everything but it's still quite obvious that the game itself is going to be a lot of fun.
Lots has been made of the multiplayer, the chat mode in particular. In my mind anything that means I don't have to listen to immature gamers swearing at me is good - and as long as there's no snaking I will be very happy indeed.
