Yesterday I mentioned FarCry 2 and one of the commenters, Nick, said he was looking forward to Crysis more... so I figured it was time to look for some new Crysis media.
Visually Crysis probably tops Far Cry... although at this level it's hard to say. However they have taken the less realistic route, giving the player character a special suit which gives him super human powers.
From what I can tell the trailer, and a couple of the videos below are pretty new. In fact the fly through video (the second one) is the one that comes on the Crysis pre-order disks and it shows off the size and variety of the world incredibly well. It's all looking great, but you'll need a monster setup to play it.
Interestingly Crysis has also entered a limited beta yesterday, and IGN were selling the beta copies, unfortunately they are now out of beta licenses. RockPaperShotgun have the full scoop.

I'm confused. I thought that Crysis was the name of the 3D engine that powered the Original Far Cry...probably I'm just getting old.
Sandbox is the name of the editor that the original Far Cry used. The developers behind Far Cry are called Crytek. Shortly after Far Cry was released, Crytek sold its rights to Ubisoft (I believe).
Now Ubisoft or some other developer is creating Far Cry 2 while Crytek is creating Crysis. Crysis will use the Sandbox 2 editor.
Are we confused yet?
Jake - I think your thinking of Crytek - the company that is made Far Cry and is now working on Crysis.
Yes - it's confusing
Oops - just seen Nicks comment.
Nick, that totally clears it up, thanks!
