Some new My Sims videos have been released and the game is looking mighty fine.
I love the super deformed art style they are using, it’s much more expressive than the more realistic style being used before which I always found to be a little creepy. The game also appears to be looking to trade on the success of Animal Crossing - the Sims has clearly been a popular series but this move for a (even more) child/ family friendly atmosphere has clearly been designed to pull in the Nintendo audience.
The building construction shown in the video looks like a fun thing to do and seems to bear a striking resemblance to the building construction seen in Spore. Unlike Spore you will be able to enter your created buildings after designing them, which should prove to be a technical challenge, if nothing else.

i was wondering if it was multiplayer or wii wifi
Don’t know for sure but I seem to remember reading something about it being multiplayer over wifi. Don’t hold me to that though

Louise - I doubt anyone here knows for sure but it wouldn’t surprise me if there was some sort of house building feature in the DS version of the game. There’s not long to wait now tough - it’s coming out on the 18th of September

It comes out thirty two days from now according the EA site. Whish is September 17th. I have it marked on my calender. I can’t wait, savin’ up!
I think it comes out in different days in different countries. Must admit I don’t know which country I looked up :S
Seems like lots of people are looking forward to it though. I am thinking about buying it for my girlfriend… then maybe I can have a sneaky play too

Got this game and I have to say I love it. I was never into the babysitting required in sims2 ( I have every sims2 game and expansion) I’ve always been about the building and making towns.
Thats what this one is about, building not just buildings but furniture! And the freeky deformed cuteness of the sims makes it more fun and less wierd - I’m 36 and I love this game! (dont let the screen shots fool ya, its pretty big of a “world” - wish there was a little more variety in objects to start but once you get more townies to move in you start unlocking tons of building blocks.)
could someone please help!!!im lovin ‘my sims’ on ds but im havin a problem.i got my 4th star but cant move on.after meeting tracy the Dowsing task appears but i dont understand how ta use the controls to play it?how do ya dig?i just cant crasp it.its prob soo soo simple but if someone could help!!!

i was havin probs with the digging task but figured it out.wen u tap the screen as a radar the circles appear blue 2 yellow 2 orang 2 red.wen u locate a red circle thats where the tresure is so hover round there.wen ur hit treasure a yellow star with a exclamation mark will eventually .walk 2 it n the sim will automaticaly start digging.
im on star level 5 and no matter what i do i cant get through this level.i keep returning to helen the mayor for instructions but she has nothing realy to say.has anyone any ideas????
don’t forget to press ‘A’ button to dig when you have got red on radar and exclaimation mark appears !
when you dowse for Tracy(Mountain area) cash in points for gems, talk to herTracy) for this. then go to olivia in main town she will make gems into rings you give to Tourists fills emotion bar right to top ,just go around giving gifts the more tourists who stay the quicker new areas evolve.Good luck!
to get to 5 star level you need to do dowsing and collect points. trade these in with Tracy for statue body parts and then go and see Mayor Helen. She will give you a build a statue option. Build a statue and get star level 5. The airfield will also come into effect and you can meet Martin the pilot.
Hi My son has just started playing the My Sims and has built the podeum but can not get it to the major what does he do now.
some great tips,but im on level five tryin to progress to six but my ‘happy bar!!!!’ isnt moving AT ALL. im makin the rings,visiting the airfield,doing scuba but nothing.also when u visit helen n she offers to create a new symbol, should u create new ones even if your original one has been erected in the town?is there much more areas to be discovered from here on in?iv been at this level all week and no progression,im thinkin of giving up Haha

i too am stuck on my sims level 3 trying to get the next star, i have not even opened up the air field, i have given up and need help despaerate as i am an avid fan on the sims collection. please can you help me. if so can you put a decent reply. thank you
the main thing with my sims DS is doing the same things over each day collecting cakes getting news from the cake maker,or going to th mayor for the days important area that needs attention , then when tourists start to stay in the various areas ,when this happens you get further towards your stars being filled in you characters rating bar.

you should keep talking to the mayor and follow her instructions. also just keep talking to your characters and they’ll start asking you for favors…do them and you get more stars.

has marie showed up in the highlands, yet…if so..you have to do a few favors for her and talk to her…then she asks you to try the paragliding for her and that opens up in the highlands

i figured out how to dig. u have to keep pressing where red is keep sliding over it and keep pressing and for me i mightve missed somehting like the star but it started diggins so just keep sliding and pressing over the red .

how do you get my sims on ds lite to be two player
on the digging you have to keep hitting around the red circles until you see a yellow exclamation point then you press the screen and slide…hope this helps! and for two player, i think someone else has to have a ds and you both choose that option to go wireless. but someone else can make their own game on your ds if they want.

once ur done digging, you trade them with the girl who gives u the shovel and get diamonds or body parts to create a statue…the diamonds/rubies are taken to Olivia and she will make rings to give to tourists…not sure about the entertainment area…my airfield is open but i can’t get past 5 stars.
how do you get finished with the 5th star level in My Sims on the DS???

If you get stuck on star levels, go to the cake shop and buy a cake, then usually Charlie (the baker) will tell you that someone was looking for you or was seemed very upset or something. then go talk to the person, it will usually be something that raises your star level. and if you can’t remember what charlie said got to the menu where you have your inventory and everything and go to the people one, it will show important tings in yellow writing on the bottom screen if you tap the certain people.

I think the game is over at five stars. u can keep playing games but there’s nothing more to beat the game.
