Midnight - gameplay video (rather spooky)

Darkness is a first person shooter for the Nintendo Wii, being developed by a small company called Crossbeam Studios. Previously the game was known as Darkness but it has recently changed to Midnight.

The game features a crazy monster weapon thing (the tentacles in the video) and is incredibly violent. I’m going to be very interested to see how it makes use of the wiimote since the general consensus is that nobody has managed to capture the perfect fps control scheme on the Wii.

The video is very dark (colour and tone) and is showing off a game that claims to be a combination of Resident Evil (horror) with Zelda (adventure) which should make for an interesting combination. More than anything I am curious about this game - I can’t decide whether I think it will be good or bad - however I am very interested indeed.

According to Wikipedia it’s for the Wii :)

Apparently (again on wikipedia) there is another game called the Darkness for PS3 and Xbox, which is why they changed the name, so that may be where the confusion is coming from?

Hang on… maybe it’s me getting the two Darkness games mixed up? Now I’m confused :S
