Metroid Prime: Corruption – preview

Yesterday the new Metroid Prime game, subtitled Corruption had a preview released on the Wii. This was a downloadable demo that streams video to your console through the internet connectivity.

It's great that Nintendo are doing this, but I think they've gone about it the wrong way.

  1. It's available in the "shop" which is illogical since it's free - previews should have their own channel
  2. It's added as a separate channel on the console, which just feels up the available space - again, there should be a "Wii news", or "Previews" channel devoted to this sort of thing.
  3. And finally... it's US only. What about us Brits (and anyone else in the world)? You could argue that the game isn't coming out in the UK just yet, but you have to take into account the internet. If we want to see these things then we'll find a way. Hence the video below. An unnamed American has uploaded the video for everyone to enjoy

Now the ranting is out of the way... the videos are actually looking pretty good. There are Hunters mentioned (ala Metroid Prime: Hunters on the DS), and there a heck of a lot of shooting craziness. Certainly looks like a classic.

Enjoy.
