Lost Winds preview

Lost Winds is a gorgeous new game coming to the Nintendo Wii via Wii Ware.

It’s being developed by Cambridge based Frontier development (a company I applied for a job at many moons ago).

Apparently Frontier have an internal forum where they encourage employees to discuss game concepts, and Lost Winds was born from this. I really like the potential fusion of Wiimote and game, and suspect this will be among the first of my Wiiware purchases.

The visual stylings are gorgeous – I’ve seen them compared to a psOne game which I think is incredibly unfair. They’re not traditional “next gen” material, but the stylistic coherence is wonderful – and I look forward to seeing the completed product.
