Lego Indiana Jones
Travellers Tales games must be loving it at the moment. Not only do they get to combine Star Wars and Batman with Lego, but now they’re gone and gotten the Indiana Jones license too.
Coming in the summer of 2008 is the latest in the Lego (insert film title here) series, Lego Indiana Jones.
I would assume this is all to coincide with the new Indiana Jones film which is finally being made (actually made, AND filmed this time).
From the press release…
“It has been a real joy to work with LucasArts on the LEGO Star Wars games. Indiana Jones is the perfect character for the next LEGO-based videogame adventure,” said Tom Stone, director at TT Games. “Indy also presents us with wonderful and memorable cinematic moments. The boulder scene of Raiders of the Lost Ark in LEGO is hilarious!”
You have to watch the trailer, if only for the music… and the obligatory lego boulder down the tunnel scene. Based on past performance I see absolutely no way this game can go bad. Bring it on!

Agree? Disagree? Have your say...
Have you played Bionicle Heroes or the Narnia game? There’s plenty of ways it could go bad.
I’ve played neither… I guess I may be jumping the gun then
The Star Wars games are great and I assume they have the same team behind the Indy game as Star War so hopefully they avoid any of the downsides of their other, less successful, outings.
Oddly, I posted rather the counter-point to your post this morning at Man Bytes Blog.
My concern is that each subsequent game from Traveler’s Tales (including Star Wars: Original Trilogy, frankly) has been based on exactly the same core gameplay, but has also been layered with elements which reduce the casual simplicity of the first game.
Interesting
I must admit I did consider the fact that the games may just turn into the same thing in different clothes, but my enthusiasm for Indiana Jones overode those feelings.
My 6 year old son LOVES lego star wars the Original Trilogy, and I loved playing it two player with him. Indy Jones sounds great! nice one.
