Henry Hatsworth first info
Henry Hatsworth in the puzzling adventure is a platform and puzzle hybrid, in part developed by the incredibly creative people behind World of Goo and Robot and the Cities.
The game is for the DS and is going to be a brand new, casual, title from EA.
Henry Hatsworth is split in two parts, the top screen takes care of the action part of the game, with you running and jumping around the game world. The bottom screen is a puzzle game with your actions playing a part in proceedings. Things you do in both screens affect your progress so you have to get the right balance between action, and puzzle.
According to both IGN and the MTV Multiplayer blog, the game is shaping up to be very promising. I love the visual style and I really hope the gameplay stands up on it’s own. It’s great to see a game (especially one from EA) that is trying to do something a bit different.
Key Features…
- Two games in one – Keep on your toes! Make quick switches between the intense action-adventure gameplay and an increasingly challenging puzzle world.
- Non-stop action - Jump, fight, and shoot your way through more than 30 levels, including nearly a dozen of hidden levels and take on outrageous world-ending bosses.
- Everyone needs an adventure! - Explore 5 exotic worlds in a mad hunt for artifacts, each of which grants new abilities for Hatsworth and ultimately unlocks a massively powerful golden mech suit.
- Puzzles galore – Solve challenging combo-puzzles in order to gain more health and energy. The more puzzle combos you complete, the more you can enhance your melee and ranged weapons and transform Hatsworth into multiple powerful forms.
- Power up! Activate puzzle power-ups to help Hatsworth in the puzzle world and the action game.

Kyle Gabler from 2D boy (the team behind world of goo) is not associated with this project.
Kyle Gray, whom went to school with Gabler, is working on Hatsworth. This info is readily available in both of the previews that you reference.
To be fair I didn’t actually mention Kyle Gabler by name. I did know that only one of the team was working on the game, but I didn’t think most people would know about either of them so didn’t bother mentioning the difference. Thanks for the clarification though
