i think that if your a big halo fan, and always have been, then i see no problem with the beta. Some people say it looks like the other 2. You have to look into it with more depth to see the differences, I am proud of what Bungie is doing and I can't wait to see the final product..

I've played the first 2, but only in co-op mode with my brother. I'd be interested in trying out the multiplayer stuff to see how that goes but haven't really had a chance.

I saw this on the BBC News site (considered posting about it too, but had to go and watch Supernatural). I've actually never played any Halo games. The original sounded good at the time but by the time it got to PC lots of people were saying it was nothing special. Basically I've never owned an XBox or XBox360 and I'm unlikely to as long as I've got a PC. So by the time the Halo games hit the PC they are already old...

It does appear to be similar, but then the people who have actually played it are raving about it... but then maybe that's because they are part of the "club" who got to play it early. I can't see Bungie messing things up, and it will sell regardless of quality, but I don't think a proper opinion can be made until we play it for ourselves.

Looks nice, but nothing special. It seems pretty much identical to the first two Halo games.
