GUXT is a shoot em up by Pixel, the developer of the wonderful Cave Story platform game. He recently released a bunch of screenshots, with notes, detailing the development process of GUXT. I find it really cool seeing how games evolve over time and finding out why various decisions are made.

very enjoyable thanks! I was thinking of doing the same for my Xmas Bonus game as that went through quite a lot of iterations, but maybe people won't find a match-3 history as interesting
Yeah - I really like this sort of thing. Anything that shows the development process and evolution of games (and films) really interests me. I wish there was one for Cave Story too.
