It’s been a while since I’ve posted for one reason or another but I feel compelled to let you know about a neat flash game called sonny. Probably you’ve already all played it to death, but just in case you haven’t, I recommend you try it.

It’s a turn-based RPG fighting game (like Final Fantasy) set in some weird sci-fi world where you wake up on a military ship and seem to be some weird half-zombie. You then battle through zombies, military, shamans etc in different locations and often team up with other NPCs. Naturally you upgrade your character and can wear armour and use different weapons.

It just seemed really well done and I find this sort of game totally addictive anyway. I’m currently playing it in my lunch break and have to force myself to stop and get back to work. Try it out if you like this sort of game. Oh it can be hard at times, but try out different tactics. It’s worth noting that you can reassign all your level up choices if you think you’ve made a mistake which is handy.

  1. Just finished it today and was a bit disappointed at the length of it. There’s only 3 zones and then you can play on a super-hard 4th zone that is not part of the main game. To me it felt like the game and plot had only just started to get going. I’d hardly leveled up my character much and was looking forward to seeing more shop items and getting a 3rd party member. It seems like maybe they released this game before fully finishing it…shame, but I am totally looking forward the the forthcoming sequel now.
