Games ARE Good

With all the bad talk about games (which actually seems to have slowed down recently) it’s nice to see some positive comments about games and the people who play them. Nintendo are working wonders with their brain training games, but now we have something to warm the heart.

A bunch of gamers from World of Warcraft have help “Pull Cancer Victim From Financial Fire“.

Basically what happened was that a World of Warcraft player was diagnised with cancer - during his treatment he was unable and shortly after recovering was hit with a bill from his electricity company. His warcraft guild clubbed together and donated a massive $4000 to help him with the bills and set him on the path to recovery with fewer worries than he had initially.

I think it’s nice when things like this happen. Makes you feel good to be a gamer.
