Lots of talk about videogame violence this week. I guess the Byron report at the end of last week stirred things up again...
- Stephen King: Videogame Lunacy : Stephen Kings thoughts on videogames violence. The thoughts of a non-gamer.
- GlaDOS still alive? One gamers thoughts about the robot behind Portal
- Fixing Online Gaming Idiocy: A Psychological Approach : Looking at the online behaviour of people in virtual worlds and how that is affecting game sales/ subscriptions
- Zen and the Art of Curated Experiences
- Top 5 Best & Worst Star Wars Videogames - I really enjoyed the Episode 1 pod racer game, but it isn't on the list at all; however I also burned a vast amount of hours in the SNES classic Super Star Wars. thankfully that's in the good games section
- Europe Totally F****d Over On Rock Band Pricing That's right. Rock Band is coming out, and it's going to be double the price of the US version. In other news, I won't be buying Rock Band when it's released in the UK.
- Some competition craziness this week. Eegra have announced The 1st Annual Game Makin’ Shindig, and the Jayisgames 5th flash game competition has ended and the winners been announced.
- The BBC iPlayer is coming to the Wii - I think that's great news!
- Apparently Violent video games make people more relaxed
