Fez Teaser trailer

I am a huge fan of indie games and Fez is a perfect example of the reason why.

Initially it looks like a bog standard, slightly primitive, platform game but stick with it and you will soon realise that all is not as it first appears. I don’t want to say much more than that as it will spoil things so watch the video before reading on.

Similarities with Super Paper Mario, and Crush are obvious but at the same time it looks to be putting a different spin on the 2d in 3d game design (genre?). I wonder what sort of puzzles the developers will add? I suspect that some of them will end up being very fiendish indeed.

I love the way it has a pixelled style - the definitive 2d games aesthetic - since then the switch to 3d it becomes even more impressive.
