Normally I wouldn't post a game preview as early as this one. This isn't even a preview really, just an announcement. The reason I am mentioning it is that it's a game idea I had a long time ago and I have been waiting for someone else to make it.
Emergency Mayhem is to be a Crazy Taxi style rescue 'em up. You will take the part of various emergency services (ambulance, fire etc) and have to drive your emergency vehicle to rescue or help people in whatever situations they have gotten themselves into. It sounds like the game will be a little bit crazy with sensible mini games like as putting out fires, and rescuing people, and rather more unusual games such as catching falling people as they leap from an apartment inferno, to shooting menacing monkeys with high-velocity bananas.
When I came up with the idea I was inspired by the mini games in Grand Theft Auto (you can steal an Ambulance and then take calls and help people), and I was surprised nobody else had done anything similar. Since this was one of my game ideas I am going to be very interested to see how it all turns out.
The game will be coming to the Nintendo Wii later this year.
