Duke Nukem teaser trailer

Finally, after 10+ years of waiting - we have the first (um… second) trailer for Duke Nukem: Forever.

To tell the truth, I gave up caring about this game approximately 8 years ago. I remember enjoying Duke 3d - but I just wasn’t overly phased by it all. The announecement of a teaser trailer yesterday raised little interest, with me imagining it would simply be Duke talking (especially based upon the screenshot that came with the announcement. Now I’ve seen the trailer - and I wasn’t too far off.

The game in general does nothing for me and I considered not posting about it, but I’m sure there are gamers out there who are looking forward to it, so just in case - here we go…

It all looks rather macho and over the top in an 80’s Schwarzannegar/ Stallone movie type of way, at least that’s how I think it wants to look, but frankly I’d grown out of that by the time I was 12. I do like a bit of muscle bound cheese now and then but this has a long way to go before I get excited. Of course the game could end up surprising me.

For what it’s worth it’s pencilled in for release next year. But then as far as I know it’s been pencilled in for release every year since it was announced.
