“Everybody’s Nintendo Channel” launched on Wii

The Everybody’s Nintendo Channel has recently been launched for the Wii in Japan. You can see the official page on the Japanese Nintendo website.

Chris Kohler from Wired has made a video showing off some of the highlights which I have included below.

Watch all kinds of videos, like an interview with Shigeru Miyamoto about Wii Fit. Read up on every DS and Wii game that’s about to be released, and see the box art. And, most importantly, download demos of upcoming Nintendo DS games, straight to your DS. Hot.

A big part of the channel is the much touted DS demo downloads. This is great news and I am really looking forward to it coming to the UK. I reckon this could be one of the biggest developments they have on the console since it will give DS owners another reason to buy a Wii (assuming they haven’t already), and will let gamers sample the DS’s delights without shelling out for games that could end up being a bit rubbish. I wonder if they will make mini games/ gifts as well… but that is probably just wishful thinking.
