Drawn to Life

Drawn to Life is a little known game by a small developer called 5th Cell. Until yesterday I had heard of neither 5th Cell or the game, but now that I have seen it I am incredibly interested.

Drawn to Life is a game for the Nintendo DS. It's an action game that follows a fairly standard RPG style story.

A dying village, embraced by everlasting winter, has cried out to you, the Creator, for assistance. The remaining inhabitants of the village need you to bring back all their lost possessions such as the sun, moon, fruit trees, fish, rain clouds, plants, animals and much more!

The bringing back part is the important bit, and the thing that makes this game special. You are tasked with returning lost possessions and, for some unexplained (and very cool) reason, you have to design them with your stylus.

At first I was concerned that this would hinder things as many people have problems with drawing, especially on the DS's screen, but having seen the screenshots I think this could turn into a very creative, expressive game. I am a little concerned that I will end up spending forever tweaking and changing things as I used to do a lot of pixel art and am a bit obsessive about things looking good, but really I don't see this as a big problem and am very much looking forward to giving it a whirl.

Thanks to Long for the heads up
