Creator of Playstation retires

He may have gone off on the deep end during his tenure with Sony Playstation, but love him or hate him, he played a pivotal role in redefining what console gaming looks like today.

Of course I’m talking about Ken Kutaragi, or as I affectionately call him, “Kuta-Kuta.” This man was the creator of the Playstation, Playstation 2, and Playstation 3. He envisioned a future where gaming would be as immersive and powerful as movies. Unfortunately that vision lead to production problems for the third incarnation of the Playstation console. He was forced to step down as President of Sony Computer Entertainment earlier this year and yesterday it was announced he was retiring completely.

So sorry Kuta, I enjoyed your visions of gaming grandure but it was all too much man, too soon, too fast.
