Crazy Machines 2 aka the Incredible Machine

I had a friend at work point the video below out to me yesterday and my first though was "that's just like the Incredible Machine... only in 3d!" (yes, I thought the '...'). I haven't seen anything like this since the early 90's. It looks like great fun as a toy, just as something to play around with - it doesn't matter that there's a game tacked on underneath.

I love the way the game is 3d but everything plays on a 2d plain. I know it won't happen but I keep thinking the ball (or whatever) will roll off sideways and ruin everything.

If you watch all the way to the end you should notice there are some other videos of individual levels as well, which should give you an even better idea of how the game plays. Great stuff.

  • Is Crazy Machines 2 MAC compatible. We played The Incredible Machine (I still have the disk btw), my 5 year old girl is smoking through Crazy Machines on the MAC right now. She is excited about Crazy Machines 2 after seeing the video you posted but it looked like it was only for PC?
