Can’t remember where I heard about these two web games, but they are fun little blobby things:

Boomshine

Boomshine is a simple yet addictive casual game with minimal user input. The screen is full of moving dots and you have to click somewhere in order to make an expanding circle. Any dots which hit the circle also expand and then other dots hit them and so on in a chain reaction. The object is to clear a certain number of dots per level and there are 12 levels. It get’s pretty hard to beat the levels later on but I beat level 12, yay! It has mellow music and it’s “click and see what happens” gameplay is very addicitive. It’s a bit like Peggle in that respect.

Splash Back

In Splash Back you must add green goo to the green blobs in order to make them explode and fire out more goo in all directions thus causing chain reactions. It’s a simple little game, fun for a few minutes. Copying this game would probably be a good programming exercise for noobs.

Boomshine is good. We should be running that on Miniclip some time soon. They’re also working on a sequel to it.

Not a big fan of the other game but it’s ok I guess :)
