Cletus Clay trailer

A “new” trailer for Cletus Clay was put online today. Tehcnically it’ not brand new, but since it’s not been seen publicly before. I’ve played an early demo level, but this video shows so much more – and it all looks fantastic.

I had always assumed Cletus Clay was entirely a platform game, but some parts of it look like they take a lot of inspiration from shoot ‘em ups. The versatility of Cletus and his movements and the variety in the gameplay make me want to play this game very, very, very soon.

The video below is actually the trailer they used to try to demo Cletus Clay to Microsoft in order to get the go ahead for XBox dev kits. The gameplay from this demo is actually from the original Blitz demo that Anthony had been working on for approximately 17 years (ok 4/5 years).

Lighting demo

Here’s a bonus lighting video to show what is being worked on at the moment. It also shows how much the graphics have come on now that the XBox 360 technology is available. Previously Anthony was making the game with download sales in mind, and now he has hundreds of megabytes of data to fill.
