Call of duty 3 : Wii trailer

Whilst the game isn't as visually impressive as the Xbox360 version Call of Duty 3 on the Wii, as seen in the trailer below, looks like it will be great.

On the subject of Call of Duty I am working on a review of Call of Duty 2: The big Red One (for PS2) and am playing through Call of Duty 3 on the 360 so will have a review for that in the future too. I love the sense of immersion and atmospehere you get in these games. The first level in COD 3 is particularly impressive.

I just hope that the Wii version of the game is like the Big Red One in that it follows similar gameplay structure with totally different levels. I don't want to have to play through the same game twice!

  • I have never played a Call for Duty game before, but I think I will pick up the Wii version. It looks great! It will be a great game to show off the Wii to my dad too.

  • Huh. This makes some of the particularly dumb things you have to do in the single-player campaign of the Xbox 360 CoD3 look a little more fun. I mean, if I have to tap trigger buttons to fight off a meleeing Nazi soldier one more time.... And don't get me started on planting explosives! Who's idea was it that these sorts of things would be fun? Now, give me a Wii gesture-controller and maybe they wouldn't be so tiresome....

I have been playing COD 3 on the XBox as well, and whilst I enjoy it - the whole wrestling with the bad guy thing is just annoying.

  • Call of Duty should be a PC only game.

    Why?

I assume you're saying this because you don't like console controls, but there's no reason not to give people with the consoles the options to buy these games. Personally I have put many hours into Call of Duty 2 and 3 on the Xbox 360 and have loved every second of it.
