Big Fish Games are offering a special offer for the holiday period. All games are getting a 25% discount, and some select games have received even larger reductions - up to 70% in some cases.
To get your discount you have to go to the offer page and then enter the coupon code found on the page into your basket when you purchase the games.
My Big Fish Games
I haven't mentioned Big Fish Games on here before but have on my personal blog, so thought I would say a few words now.
Big Fish Games have been working on a personalised game page system, currently called My Big Fish Games (soon to change name). They let you choose your favourite games, review them and then make some cash.
When you sign up for your own account you are given 2 free games and you earn a slice of money from anybody who buys games from you - so you can end up walking away with even more cash (free games AND money). You can see my game site here which will let you sign up and see the games I favour.

This Holiday discount is great for developers about to release games on BFG *NOT*!
Anyway the MyBigFishGames is an interesting idea, an easy way to be an affilate. I'm going to get into affiliate sales a lot more next year. I got an email from a guy who makes $100 per day from affiliate sales!
Jake - I understand why you are saying this but as far as I can tell the offer only applies if you use links like mine.
IE you can only get the discount if you go to the affiliate discount page, as shown above.
I have yet to see any mention of this offer on the Big Fish Games website itself, apart from the links they have been sending out.
From a consumer point of view I think the myBigFishGames idea is great. Obviously if you are selling games on there it's not so good, but potentially it means more sales, which would lead to more money.
Big Fish Games is also advertising this sale on glossy little postcards they are sending out to their users. I have to say some of the best deals are Mystic Inn and Mystery Case Files Huntsville... which are $6 after the 70% off. And they're developed by Big Fish Studios so no 3rd party developer has to take a small commission on the sale! These coupons really help the volume of sales though, just by sending out an email advertising this I got 2x what I normally do from day's commission.
also the more sales these games get the higher up the chart they go on the front page then they get more sales. Yeah as a consumer I think it's great but with my "developer with games on BFG" hat on, it's not so cool...
