Very well done list. They must have spent a lot of time to create it. Way better than GamePro's Top 55 Moments. I only wish that Aerith's death was higher than number 22. I haven't read the whole list, so I hope to see the part from Eternal Darkness where your sanity decreases :)

hehe, good list. I never knew you could beat the old sniper guy in MGS3 just by waiting haha.

I have so many classic gaming moments I could add to that list but here's a few:

- Blowing the first head (or multiple heads with one shot) off a zombie with the shotgun in Resident Evil. That game has other classic moments like the dogs jumping through the window, or the giant spider etc. In fact the whole series is excellent.
- Tie Fighter: Getting into the emperor's circle for the first time and getting a special tattoo. This game was very cool.
- Golden Axe (arcade) When you first see the skeletons come out of the ground on the back of the flying turtle and the noise it makes you hit them on the head.
- Doom: Playing it for the first time 10+ years ago! Plus loads of classic moments like using the rocket launcher on a horde of monsters, and seeing the flying eyes for the first time etc. In fact finding each weapon is pretty much a classic moment.
- Really suprised that the big list didn't have Half Life in it, where after wondering round the base at the start the machine starts up and it all goes wrong and you get temporarily put into an alien world, then back to the base and it's all f*cked up.
- The start of Unreal. This was just great at the time.
- The start of Soldier of Fortune when you realise you are actually dismembering the enemies with the shotgun!
- Outcast had some classic moments and a weird finale with all the characters dancing.
- Waking up on the beach at the start of Ultima VII: Part 2 - The Serpent Isle and hearing the seagulls and sea.

like I said I could go on and on (I've haven't even thought about console games!) but I gotta do some work now ;-)

I really liked the ending sequence of Darwinia (aside from a few other moments in that game), a picture (possible spoiler but you've probably already seen it anyway) can be seen at http://www.darwinia.co.uk/screenshots/image16.jpg
It's interesting to see that Deus Ex is not included in the list - certainly refreshing. I also expected Chrono Trigger and maybe KotOR to appear there (not that I'd want them to).
