For foodies with allergies, the "game" even lets you sort by ingredients, cuisine, and region and of course for health nuts, it also displays nutritional information. Tho it may seem like a fancy digital cookbook, it goes a step further by utilizing the DS' microphone and lets you verbally command when you're ready for the next step - because I'm sure your fingers will be wet with juices and spices.

Sony knows a thing or two when it comes to virtual pets (cough: AIbo) but since that pooch was neutered, there's been a void in my heart. Thank Jebus for EyePet, an upcoming virtual pet baby monkey(?) for the PS3. You do need an Eye Toy camera to get into action but for a Tamagotchi addict like myself, extra peripherals are no issue. If it's as responsive as the video, I'm sold! 2009 is way too far away. Do want!

We can now add with Hudson with the recent announcement of Bomberman Touch: Legend of the Mystic Bomb.

A video trailer (embedded below the jump) shows what looks like a transparent, touch-screen d-pad placed over the on-screen action to control Bomberman, sort of like the interface of the earlier iPhone PlayStation emulator. According to Hudson, the game will include "classic Bomberman powerups and original special items" and take advantage of "the unique iPhone / iPod touch interface capabilities of flicking, tapping, and tilting with the built-in accelerometer."

No word on a multiplayer, but with the iPhone's Wi-Fi capabilities, a local wireless option is only a few lines of code away.

The Playstation Network gets Novastrike this week and by the looks of the trailer; not a moment too soon. I suppose I should probably give a little overview of the game now. NOVASTRIKE is a free-roaming top-down arcade shooter where you’re flying an advanced fighter and combating the Draelus invasion. Yes, aliens are pretty single-minded in that regard. Airborne enemies consist of fighters, aces, kamikazes, bombers and capital ships, and you’ll also need to deal with enemy ground installations.

Fortunately the ship you’re flying – the Scythe – can acquire and upgrade weapons over time. And there are nine weapons total, each with three additional upgrade states, to aid you in sending the Draelus to the great beyond.

It's been quiet on the news front regarding Sony's Little Big Planet but that won't stop them from releasing gems like this latest trailer to wet our appetites. Do want!
